This ax is often called a "fire ax" because of its shape, but it is not for firefighters especially, it is a splitting ax. (See our blog where we have devoted a test to it). In English its name is "FIRESIDE FRIEND® SPLITTING TOOL" which could be interpreted (I did not say translate) by "splitting tool around a campfire". One-piece forged ax with Estwing Shock Reduction Grip® handle for comfort and durability. The large weighted head allows efficient splitting ... the wood is quartered. Its length and weight provide leverage giving the power to facilitate splitting wood.
On the back of the head a dish (square 35 x 35 mm) that can be used as a hammer.
Supplied with a high resistance blue nylon sheath to hang on the belt.
